Acceptable Use & Risk Disclosure
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service for Avocado Leads, operated by [COMPANY NAME]. It sets out what you must not do with the Service and the platform risks you accept by connecting your own social accounts.
Version 2026-10-24
1. Prohibited conduct
You must not use the Service to:
- send spam or bulk unsolicited messages that lack a lawful basis, or send messages that are deceptive, misleading or fraudulent, including phishing, scams and fake offers;
- harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, abuse, discriminate against or defame anyone, or contact someone who has asked you to stop;
- impersonate any person or organisation, use a false identity, or misrepresent your affiliation, including with a platform;
- contact, target or knowingly capture data about people under 18;
- access, scrape or collect private, non-public, password-protected or sensitive content or special-category data, or content you are not authorised to see;
- use captured data for unlawful purposes, such as discrimination, unlawful surveillance, credit, employment, housing or insurance decisions, or to sell or broker lists of personal data;
- send content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that promotes illegal goods or services, or that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- circumvent a platform’s security, rate limits, verification or enforcement, or use the Service to evade a restriction or ban on an account;
- circumvent, disable or tamper with Avocado Leads limits, pacing, safety checks, billing or access controls, or run the extension against accounts that are not yours;
- operate accounts you are not authorised to use, or create fake or bulk accounts;
- breach any law, including anti-spam, privacy, consumer-protection and marketing laws that apply to you or the recipient, or any platform’s terms that apply to the account;
- interfere with, probe or attempt unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
2. Lawful outreach
You are solely responsible for your outreach: its content, targeting, timing and frequency; having a lawful basis to contact each person; honest identification of you and your business; any consent required; and honouring opt-out and do-not-contact requests promptly. This includes laws such as CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR, ePrivacy and PECR, and CASL where they apply.
3. Platform risk and daily limits
3.1 Risk. Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook and Reddit set their own rules and may prohibit automation or third-party tools. They may restrict, suspend, shadow-limit, rate-limit or permanently ban an account at any time, with no notice, and may do so below any published or assumed limit. Avocado Leads is not affiliated with or endorsed by any platform, and cannot prevent or reverse their decisions. Using the Service puts your account at risk, and you accept that risk entirely, including any loss of followers, content, reach, connections or business.
3.2 Limits in the product. Avocado Leads paces activity and applies per-network, per-action daily limits, set conservatively inside the product and shown in the app. We do not publish fixed numbers here because platforms do not publish reliable ones, and the safe level differs by account age, history and standing. The limits shown in the app can change as platforms change, and they are a ceiling on what Avocado Leads sends, not a promise that the activity is safe.
| Network | What Avocado Leads can do | Posture |
|---|---|---|
| Capture engagement; follow; direct message | Paced conservatively; capture stops at the first rate limit; daily limits shown in the app; account standing varies, so new or recently active accounts should do less | |
| Capture engagement; connection invitations; message first-degree connections | LinkedIn does not publish invitation numbers and can restrict high rates; limits shown in the app; keep your own manual invitations low | |
| X | Capture engagement; follow; message where X allows it | Paced conservatively; messages only where the recipient accepts them; daily limits shown in the app |
| As shown in the product for your package | Capabilities are narrower and may be capture-focused; check the app for what is available | |
| Capture engagement; follow; chat message | Paced conservatively; communities and users can report and platform filters can act; daily limits shown in the app |
3.3 Your combined activity. The limits in the product count only what Avocado Leads does. They cannot see what you do by hand, in the platform’s own apps, or with other tools. You must keep your own combined manual activity within each platform’s limits, and you must not run other automation, extensions, scripts or services on the same accounts that, together with Avocado Leads, push the account beyond safe daily levels. You are solely responsible for the total activity on every account you connect, wherever it comes from.
3.4 Good practice (not a guarantee). Use accounts that are established and in good standing; start low and increase slowly; keep messages relevant, personal and non-repetitive; stop campaigns promptly if a platform shows warnings, verification requests or restrictions; do not attempt to continue on a restricted account; and review each platform’s current rules before you run campaigns. These steps reduce risk; they do not remove it.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches, remove or block content or campaigns, suspend or terminate accounts, and report unlawful activity to authorities and platforms, as described in the Terms of Service. Reports of abuse can be sent to [CONTACT EMAIL].
