GummySearch alternatives: pick by the job you used it for

Last updated: 31 October 2026

GummySearch stopped taking new signups and payments on 30 November 2025 and, according to its founder, shuts down entirely on 1 December 2026. There is no single replacement, because it did three jobs: audience research, keyword alerts and finding leads. Pick the alternative by the job you actually used.

Below are the options by job, with prices checked on 31 October 2026 and the honest limits of each, including ours.

What happened to GummySearch

GummySearch was a Reddit research tool. Its founder's closing post says new signups and payments ended on 30 November 2025, that it shuts down entirely on 1 December 2026, and that the cause was not reaching an agreement that fits Reddit's Data API Usage policies.

The same post says all user data is deleted at shutdown. If you still have an account, export your saved audiences, searches and notes well before that date.

If you used it for keyword alerts

F5Bot is free for basic keyword alerts on Reddit, Hacker News and Lobsters, with Silver at $12.99 a month for 20 keywords and Gold at $49.99 a month for 200 keywords, AI filtering and Slack and Discord alerts.

Syften starts at $29.95 a month, with $49.95 and $119.95 plans and a 14 day trial with no card. Monitoring X costs $40 a month extra and YouTube $20. Both tools tell you about posts; neither contacts anyone.

If you used it to find leads and reply

PluckLead costs $29 a month and has a free plan with ten leads a month, one monitor and five drafts a day, with no card and no expiry. GetLeadIntent has a $19 Basic plan and a $49 Premium plan, with a 7 day trial and no card on Basic. Buska starts at $49 a month, with Growth at $99 and Scale at $249, and a 7 day trial without a card.

If you used it for audience research

We have not verified a like-for-like replacement for its community research. The tools above cover parts of it, so test any candidate on a community you already know before you pay, and judge it by whether it tells you something you did not know.

Where Avocado Leads fits, and where it does not

Avocado Leads searches Reddit posts by topic, saves each author and commenter with their own words and scores them from 0 to 100 on buying language, recency, fit and reachability, then runs paced outreach from your own signed-in browser. It also works on Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook.

It is not a community research tool and it is not a live alert service, so it does not replace those two parts of GummySearch. It is $40 per network per month, with a 7 day trial and no card.

How to switch without losing work

  1. Export or copy your saved audiences, searches and notes before 1 December 2026.
  2. Write down which of the three jobs you really used: research, alerts or leads.
  3. Try one tool for that job on your own topic for a week, using its free plan or trial.
  4. Judge it by whether the first ten results are people or posts you would act on, then decide.

Questions people ask

Is GummySearch shutting down?

Yes. Its founder's closing post says new signups and payments ended on 30 November 2025 and that it shuts down entirely on 1 December 2026, with user data deleted.

What is the best GummySearch alternative?

It depends on the job you used it for. F5Bot and Syften cover keyword alerts, PluckLead, GetLeadIntent and Buska cover finding leads, and Avocado Leads saves the people behind posts and runs paced outreach. None is a verified like-for-like replacement for its community research.

Is there a free GummySearch alternative?

F5Bot has a free plan for keyword alerts and PluckLead has a free plan with ten leads a month. Prices were checked on 31 October 2026 and can change.

Does Avocado Leads replace GummySearch?

Only the lead-finding part. It is not a research tool or a live alert service.
