Lead generation on Facebook with Avocado Leads: what it can and cannot do
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Avocado Leads works on Facebook through your own signed-in browser. It captures people who commented on a post, members of a group you can see, and search results, and sends a friend request or a follow. It cannot send Messenger messages.
Below is exactly what it can and cannot do on Facebook, the limits that come from the network, and how a campaign runs. Each network behaves differently, so nothing here is promised for another one.
What Avocado Leads captures on Facebook
People who commented on a post, members of a group you can see, and search results. Follower and following lists are only partly available; Pages and public figures show reaction totals, not who reacted.
On Facebook, people show interest in the comments under a post, in the groups where they ask questions, and in the profiles a search returns.
How it reaches out on Facebook
Friend request when Facebook offers one, otherwise a follow.
Outreach is paced. A new account starts gently, with follows or connection requests first and messages only after the first week, and hourly, daily, weekly and monthly caps apply on every network.
Messaging on Facebook
Not possible. Avocado Leads cannot send Messenger messages.
Limits to know about on Facebook
Some profiles, especially public figures, offer no friend request. A Facebook profile page must be open in your browser for the relationship check.
These limits come from the network and from what its pages show your signed-in session, not from a choice we can switch off.
How a campaign runs on Facebook
- Paste a post, a profile or a search that Facebook supports, as described above.
- Review the people it saved, ranked from 0 to 100 on buying language, recent activity, fit and reachability.
- Check reach, so you know who can actually be followed or messaged before any outreach is spent.
- Start a paced campaign. It runs from your own signed-in Chrome, which has to stay open while it works.
- Read the record of what happened to each lead, with the reason when something was skipped.
Risk on Facebook, honestly
Facebook may restrict, limit or ban an account that it believes is using automation, whatever the tool. Pacing, caps and a gentle start reduce that risk; they cannot remove it, and Facebook's own rules apply to your account.
Avocado Leads never asks for your social passwords. You choose which accounts to connect and which campaigns to run, and you can stop any campaign at any time. The safety page explains the caps and what the product will not do.
