Lead generation on X with Avocado Leads: what it can and cannot do
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Avocado Leads works on X through your own signed-in browser. It captures the people who replied to a post, the followers and following of an account, and search results, follows them, and messages them only when X allows it.
Below is exactly what it can and cannot do on X, the limits that come from the network, and how a campaign runs. Each network behaves differently, so nothing here is promised for another one.
What Avocado Leads captures on X
People who replied to a post, followers and following of an account, and search results. Likers of someone else’s post are not visible.
On X, people show interest in replies under a post, in the accounts they follow, and in the posts that match the words your customers use.
How it reaches out on X
Follow (a follow request if the account is protected).
Outreach is paced. A new account starts gently, with follows or connection requests first and messages only after the first week, and hourly, daily, weekly and monthly caps apply on every network.
Messaging on X
Direct message only when X says they accept messages from you: their DMs are open, or they follow you. A one-way follow is not enough.
Limits to know about on X
Protected accounts’ follower lists are readable only by approved followers. No unfollow action.
These limits come from the network and from what its pages show your signed-in session, not from a choice we can switch off.
How a campaign runs on X
- Paste a post, a profile or a search that X supports, as described above.
- Review the people it saved, ranked from 0 to 100 on buying language, recent activity, fit and reachability.
- Check reach, so you know who can actually be followed or messaged before any outreach is spent.
- Start a paced campaign. It runs from your own signed-in Chrome, which has to stay open while it works.
- Read the record of what happened to each lead, with the reason when something was skipped.
Risk on X, honestly
X may restrict, limit or ban an account that it believes is using automation, whatever the tool. Pacing, caps and a gentle start reduce that risk; they cannot remove it, and X's own rules apply to your account.
Avocado Leads never asks for your social passwords. You choose which accounts to connect and which campaigns to run, and you can stop any campaign at any time. The safety page explains the caps and what the product will not do.
